Rush-Henrietta and Fairport pushed the score to 42-21 the last time they played Fairport, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. The Royal Comets never let the Red Raiders get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The 13-point effort marked the Royal Comets' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Rush-Henrietta's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Imani Wagstaff, who rushed for 149 yards. Wagstaff was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Evan Mangone, who threw for 117 yards and one TD while completing 85.7% of his passes.

Rush-Henrietta pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.0 points over those games. As for Fairport, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Rush-Henrietta and Fairport should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Royal Comets (ranked 50th) will meet Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey (ranked 409th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fairport will take on Penfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (84 vs. 204).
