Softball Recap: Walled Lake Western Comes Up Short

Walled Lake Western was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dow Chargers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered since April 22nd.

Walled Lake Western's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Dow, they pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season.

Walled Lake Western didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-7 loss against Milford on the 20th. As for Dow, they have also already played their next matchup, a 9-4 defeat against Reeths-Puffer on the 18th.
