Basketball Recap: Jamestown Takes a Loss

Jamestown was the 39-38 winner over Poquoson when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Jamestown Eagles fell 55-44 to the Poquoson Islanders on Monday. The Eagles' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Jamestown's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Poquoson, their win bumped their record up to 2-14.

Jamestown and Poquoson could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Jamestown will face off against Bruton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday down 184 places (301 vs. 117). Meanwhile, Poquoson (ranked 360th) will meet Lafayette (ranked 158th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
