Baseball Recap: Braddock Find Success

Braddock had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They skirted past Archbishop Carroll 4-2. Braddock hasn't had any issues with Archbishop Carroll recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Derek Betencourt looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Marcos Rodriguez, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Coincidentally, Braddock and Archbishop Carroll will both be playing Dade Christian the next time they take the field. Archbishop Carroll will head out to face Dade Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Braddock will host them at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
