Volleyball Recap: Sumter Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sumter can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Lexington Wildcats on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gamecocks of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2016.

Sumter's loss dropped their record down to 10-16-2. As for Lexington, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-17 record this season.

Sumter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lexington, they will face off against Wando on Monday.
