Recap: Mica Mountain Thunderbolts vs. Amphitheater Panthers
The Amphitheater Panthers typically have all the answers at home, but on Tuesday the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts proved too difficult a challenge. They took down the Panthers 55-39. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mica Mountain.
Isabella Webb was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Mathie, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Mica Mountain has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Amphitheater, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-10.
Mica Mountain will be playing in front of their home fans against Sahuarita at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Sahuarita is ranked 74th, while Mica Mountain is ranked 64th). As for Amphitheater, they will head out on the road to challenge Rio Rico at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
