Basketball Recap: Grant Makes It Seven in a Row on the Road

Grant's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-37 victory over the Ida B. Wells Guardians. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Generals have posted against the Guardians since January 24, 2020.

Grant pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.4 points per game. As for Ida B. Wells, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-5 record.

Grant will host Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ida B. Wells, they are taking a road trip to take on Benson Tech at 7:15 p.m. on February 7th.
