For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Olpe and Madison meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Eagles walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bulldogs. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Olpe not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Madison between 17 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17.
Lilly Skalsky paced Olpe's offense, picking up 14 kills. Skalsky got some help from Kayla Steinke and her 17 assists.
Olpe's win bumped their record up to 23-12. As for Madison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17-1.
Olpe has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Waverly on the 14th. Madison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
