Volleyball Recap: Upper Arlington Has No Trouble Against Lincoln

Upper Arlington hadn't done well against Lincoln recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Golden Bears walked away with a 3-1 win over the Lions. That two set margin sets a new team best for the Golden Bears this season.

Upper Arlington had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-9, 25-22, 25-17.

Among those leading the charge was Asha Chaudhari, who had 14 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (six).

Chaudhari wasn't the only good server: Upper Arlington was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in seven consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Upper Arlington's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Upper Arlington has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Dublin Jerome on the 23rd. As for Lincoln, they will head out to take on Thomas Worthington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
