Baseball Game Preview: Cloudland Highlanders vs. North Greene Huskies

Cloudland hasn't had much luck against North Greene recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Highlanders will square off against the Huskies at 5:15 p.m. Cloudland has given up an average of 20.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cloudland came up short against Happy Valley on Thursday, falling 20-1.

Cloudland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Simerly, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases. That hit marked the first that Simerly has got this season.

Meanwhile, North Greene sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over Unaka on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskies.

North Greene's win bumped their record up to 9-4-1. As for Cloudland, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Cloudland might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from North Greene in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Highlanders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
