            Volleyball Recap: Marion Mustangs vs. Bowler Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Marion's game  on Tuesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bowler Panthers, sneaking past  3-2. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the   3-0 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in October of 2024.
 It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Marion got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 25-19, 16-25,  15-11.

Marion's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Madeline Wudstrack, who  had 15  digs and nine  aces. Wudstrack is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's  played.  Sophia Wudstrack was another key player,  getting ten  digs and eight  aces.
 They weren't the only good servers: Marion  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 30  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least seven  aces in eight consecutive  matches.
Marion pushed their record up to 9-4 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home. As for Bowler, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Marion will  square off against  rival Gresham Community  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bowler is set to  take on  their familiar foe Tigerton  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
