Softball Game Preview: Liberty Charter Lions vs. San Diego Academy Cavaliers

The Liberty Charter Lions will challenge the San Diego Academy Cavaliers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Liberty Charter came up short against Canyon Crest Academy on Friday, falling 8-2.

Liberty Charter saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angie Carreon, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Samantha McHenry also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.

Meanwhile, San Diego Academy lost 17-5 to Bonsall on Tuesday. The loss put an end to the Cavaliers' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, San Diego Academy fell to 2-1. As for Liberty Charter, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Liberty Charter took their win against San Diego Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 17-1 score. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cavaliers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
