Basketball Recap: Colfax Takes a Loss

Colfax was the 51-43 winner over Freeman when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Colfax Bulldogs fell just short of the Freeman Scotties by a score of 46-43 on Thursday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Taylee Phelps was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds for Freeman. The contest was Phelps' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tansey Coyner, who posted seven points and seven boards.

Colfax now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Freeman, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Colfax has already played their next matchup (against Asotin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Freeman has already played their next game, a 62-46 defeat against Liberty on the 24th.
