Volleyball Recap: Fruitport Takes a Loss

Fruitport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grand Haven Buccaneers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Fruitport's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Grand Haven, the victory (which was their eighth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Fruitport wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Mona Shores on the 23rd. After both having extra time off, Grand Haven and Holland will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on May 7.
