Basketball Game Preview: Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights vs. North Smithfield Northmen

Exeter-West Greenwich hasn't had much luck against North Smithfield recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights will face off against the North Smithfield Northmen at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Exeter-West Greenwich lost to Mt. Hope at home by a 60-42 margin. The contest marked the Scarlet Knights' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, North Smithfield ended up a good deal behind Times Squared Academy on Friday and lost 69-55.

Exeter-West Greenwich will have to contain Sam Drolet as he made an impact in North Smithfield's last game. He posted 26 points. The game was Drolet's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Connor Reilly was another key player, putting up 13 points.

North Smithfield now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Exeter-West Greenwich, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Exeter-West Greenwich was taken down by North Smithfield 75-44 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Exeter-West Greenwich avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
