Basketball Game Preview: South Greene Rebels vs. Hampton Bulldogs

The South Greene Rebels will challenge the Hampton Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Greene has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 13.

Last Friday, South Greene was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 77-71 to Johnson County.

Meanwhile, Hampton was able to grind out a solid victory over Chuckey-Doak on Friday, taking the game 64-57.

South Greene's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Hampton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

South Greene didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Hampton when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 61-56 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Hampton's Hannah Smith, who went 8 for 18 on her way to 21 points and four steals. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will South Greene still be able to contain Smith? There's only one way to find out.
