Volleyball Recap: Springfield Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Gallatin Green Wave, falling 3-0. If the Yellow Jackets were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Green Wave when the teams met back in September of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Springfield took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-13, 25-20.

Gallatin can attribute much of their success to Skylar Wilson, who had eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces Wilson has posted since back in October of 2024.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Gallatin, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Springfield will host Northeast at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gallatin, they will head out on the road to square off against Portland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
