Basketball Recap: 11 Straight Home Victories for Tri

There's no place like home for Tri, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Winchester Community Golden Falcons on Friday, sneaking past 38-36. The 38-point effort marked the Titans' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Despite the loss, Winchester Community still got an impressive performance from Lucas Tarter, who went 6-for-9 en route to 12 points. Tarter is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 60% in the last three games he's played. Gabe Overton was another key player, putting up four points.

Tri's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points over those games. As for Winchester Community, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7.

Tri wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 57-44 loss against North Decatur on the 1st. As for Winchester Community, they have also already played their next contest, a 53-48 defeat against Centerville on the 6th.
