Basketball Recap: Cozad's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Cozad can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They snuck past the Lexington Minutemen with a 37-32 victory. The Haymakers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Minutemen, too.

Cozad's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13. As for Lexington, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Cozad and Lexington could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings. Cozad will face off against Holdrege at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th down 155 places (233 vs. 78). Cozad is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Similarly, Lexington (ranked 229th) will meet Broken Bow (ranked 60th) at 5:00 p.m. on February 4th.
