Baseball Recap: Ennis Comes Up Short

Ennis has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.54 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 13-2 to the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Ennis saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kevin Rodriguez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Ennis' defeat dropped their record down to 12-10-2. As for Midlothian Heritage, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-7.

While Ennis had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
