Baseball Recap: Colbert Beats Kingston for Their Tenth Straight Win

Colbert extended their winning streak to ten on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 17-6 in the process. They came out on top against the Kingston Redskins by a score of 5-1. This was payback for the Leopards, who suffered a 6-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

As for Kingston, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-8. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Kingston's part, Jaksyn Martin was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Martin has hit this season.

Looking ahead, Colbert will venture away from home to square off against Konawa at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Kingston will be paying especially close attention to the Leopards' matchup: after the Leopards face off against the Tigers, they'll take on Kingston again at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
