Softball Recap: Dearborn Comes Up Short

Dearborn fell victim to Anderson and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Pioneers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Dearborn saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Shoff, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Shoff has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played. Sophia Ball was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one double.

Dearborn has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-21-2 record this season. As for Anderson, their record now sits at 18-13.

While Dearborn had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
