Volleyball Game Preview: Foreman Hornets vs. Chicago Marshall Commandos

The Foreman Hornets will take on the Chicago Marshall Commandos at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

On Friday, Foreman came up short against Intrinsic Charter and fell 2-0.

While Foreman ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Chicago Marshall came into Friday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Chicago Mathematics & Science on Friday, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Commandos have posted since April 9, 2025.

Chicago Marshall had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 12-25, 25-14, 26-24.

Chicago Marshall's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Foreman, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Foreman skirted past Chicago Marshall 2-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Commandos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
