Lowry is 9-1 against Spring Creek since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Buckaroos will be playing at home against the Spartans at 3:00 p.m. Lowry's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Spring Creek's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Lowry is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: McQueen, who was ranked 15th at the time (Lowry was ranked 11th). The Buckaroos fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Spring Creek came up short against Elko last Saturday and fell 10-5. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jessie Santistevan was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Lowry's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Spring Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Lowry was able to grind out a solid victory over Spring Creek when the teams last played back in February, winning 7-2. Will the Buckaroos repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
