Basketball Recap: Hayden's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

Hayden and Rock Creek squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Hayden had to settle for second. They took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rock Creek Mustangs. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Hayden moved to 13-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points over those games. As for Rock Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season.
