Softball Recap: Chopticon Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chopticon). Everything went their way against the Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons on Thursday as Chopticon made off with a 27-3 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Chopticon pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Our Lady of Good Counsel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chopticon will welcome La Plata at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Our Lady of Good Counsel, they will be playing at home against St. Mary's Ryken at 4:30 p.m. on April 4.
