Chapman proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 11) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Woodruff Wolverines 5-3. Surprisingly, this marked the Panthers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Alexis Floyd spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kenslie Edwards, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Krisylyn Wilder was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Chapman has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Woodruff, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10.

As of now, neither Chapman nor the Wolverines have any future games scheduled.
