Basketball Recap: North Michigan Christian Academy Comes Up Short

North Michigan Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 66-49 to the Maplewood Baptist Academy Black Bears. If the Comets were looking for revenge after losing 72-55 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

North Michigan Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Maplewood Baptist Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Michigan Christian Academy will square off against Traverse City HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maplewood Baptist Academy, they will host Alanson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maplewood Baptist Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 games -- so hopefully Alanson likes a good challenge.
