Volleyball Game Preview: South Christian Sailors vs. Northview Wildcats + How To Watch

A classic North v. South matchup is on the schedule. The South Christian Sailors will venture away from home to face off against the Northview Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, South Christian made easy work of Union and carried off a 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant South Christian was: they took every set by at least 16 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-9, 25-7.

South Christian can attribute much of their success to Meg Schreur, who had five digs and five aces, and Maddy DeVries, who had three digs and three aces. That's the most aces DeVries has posted over her last ten matches.

They weren't the only good servers: South Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 23 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Northview got the win against Union on Monday by a conclusive 3-0. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Red Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

South Christian's record is now 22-8. As for Northview, their record now sits at 18-16.

South Christian beat Northview 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sailors since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
