Basketball Game Preview: Metea Valley Mustangs vs. Naperville North Huskies

The Metea Valley Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Naperville North Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Metea Valley didn't have too much trouble with Oswego as they won 66-52.

Meanwhile, Naperville North had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They strolled past the Cougars with points to spare, taking the game 51-32.

Metea Valley is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for Naperville North, their victory bumped their record up to 15-11.

Metea Valley strolled past Naperville North when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 59-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Metea Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
