Softball Recap: Penn Cambria Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Penn Cambria's offense. They came up short against the Bedford Bisons on Wednesday, falling 10-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Penn Cambria saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marley Shaffer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Penn Cambria and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Bedford, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-6 record.

Coming up, Penn Cambria will be playing in front of their home fans against Bishop McCort at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bedford, they will square off against Juniata Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Bisons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
