Volleyball Recap: Glendale Vikings vs. Homer-Center Wildcats
Glendale lost against Homer-Center back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Vikings took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Glendale actually scored more points across those four sets (87-83), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-22, 7-25, 25-16, 26-24.

Despite the loss, Glendale still got an impressive performance from Rachel McClellan, who had 23 kills, 13 digs, and three aces. McClellan has been hot for a while, having posted seven or more kills the last nine times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Matish, who had 14 digs and two aces.
Homer-Center's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ashlyn Yount led the charge by getting four digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Bella Tamburrino, who had 15 digs.
Glendale now has a losing record of 14-15-1. As for Homer-Center, they moved to 11-12-1 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.
