Volleyball Recap: Princeton Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Princeton won the last time they faced South Spencer and things went their way on Monday too. The Tigers put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Princeton's got stronger as the match went on, holding South Spencer to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-13, 25-7.

Princeton can attribute much of their success to Halle Cole, who had nine digs and five assists. Those five assists gave Cole a new career-high.

Despite the loss, South Spencer still got an impressive performance from Kendall Lloyd, who had 18 digs and two aces. Lloyd has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylea Donoho, who had seven kills and one block.

Princeton's win ended a five-match drought on the road and puts them at 8-14. As for South Spencer, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Coincidentally, Princeton and South Spencer will both be playing Wood Memorial the next time they take the court. The Rebels will host the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
