Basketball Recap: Pahrump Valley Comes Up Short

Pahrump Valley saw some tournament action on Friday. They were outmatched by the Adelanto Saints and fell 57-18. The matchup marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Pahrump Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tramaine Burras, who posted four points and seven boards.

Pahrump Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Adelanto, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Pahrump Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Doral Academy Red Rock at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Adelanto, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-30 win against Lincoln County on the 21st.
