Recap: Tom Bean Tomcats vs. Non Varsity Opponent
On Saturday, it was a hard-fought game, but Tom Bean had to settle for a 52-49 defeat against Non Varsity Opponent.
Tom Bean's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Chase Stratton, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds, and Branson Ashlock who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was Ashlock's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Maguire Poole was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 4 steals.
Tom Bean's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Non Varsity Opponent, their win bumped their record up to 21-51.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tom Bean will take on Campbell at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
