After soaring to 42 points the game before, The Mt. Pleasant Vikings were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were dealt a 40-3 loss at the hands of Southmoreland. Mt. Pleasant was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Southmoreland apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.

Dasjon Craggette had an outrageously good game for Southmoreland as he rushed for 335 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 16.8 yards per carry. Craggette's longest rush was for an incredible 92 yards.

Mt. Pleasant has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Southmoreland, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 6-4.

Mt. Pleasant will head out on the road to face off against West Mifflin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Mifflin is on a three-game streak of home wins, Mt. Pleasant a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Southmoreland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
