Baseball Recap: Miami Beach Gets the Win

Miami Beach's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Goleman Gators by a score of 6-1. This was payback for the Hi-Tides, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Luis Mauricio Morales looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero).

At the plate, Lenonx Munoz was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. He has become a key player for Miami Beach: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 5-7 otherwise. Julio Piti was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Miami Beach kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

The win got Miami Beach back to even at 8-8. As for Goleman, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miami Beach will head out to face off against Island Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Goleman, they will venture away from home to square off against Coral Gables at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
