Recap: Walkertown Wolfpack vs. West Stokes Wildcats
After a string of five wins, the Walkertown Wolfpack's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of West Stokes by a score of 57-55. Walkertown was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as West Stokes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Walkertown still got an impressive performance from Jaylen Wilkerson, who scored 21 points. Kady'n Turner-Scott was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Walkertown's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for West Stokes, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walkertown will take on Reidsville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Reidsville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,101 points over their last 14 matchups. As for West Stokes, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Morehead at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Morehead is ranked 134th, while West Stokes is ranked 114th).
