Basketball Recap: Queen City Prep Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Queen City Prep Kings came up short against the McLean Highlanders and fell 72-61.

When it comes to explaining why Queen City Prep lost, don't look at RJ Palmer Jr.. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 boards. That was a full 47.5% of Queen City Prep's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Kent Mills was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Queen City Prep's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for McLean, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Queen City Prep will host Lake Norman Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for McLean, they will head out to face off against Wakefield at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th.
