Softball Recap: Benicia Panthers vs. Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles

Benicia can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles as the Benicia Panthers made off with a 17-2 victory. Winning may never get old, but Benicia sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Alana Robinson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Robinson has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than six innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Robinson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Benicia got a massive performance out of Vanessa Smith, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Aryanna Banks-Lockhart, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

On Clayton Valley Charter's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ruby Bartholomew, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
