Football Recap: Upper Dauphin Area Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Upper Dauphin Area's offense. They took a blow against the Halifax Wildcats on Friday, falling 39-0. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Landen Osenga threw for 46 yards on five of 16 attempts. On the ground, Christopher McClain rushed for 102 yards.

Cohen Bechtel had an outrageously good game for Halifax as he rushed for 142 yards and four scores while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Bechtel didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made four total tackles. Ryder Tobias was another key player, throwing for 143 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Upper Dauphin Area's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Halifax, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Upper Dauphin Area didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-14 defeat against West Perry on the 5th. As for Halifax, they have also already played their next game, a 44-22 loss against Steelton-Highspire on the 5th.
