Walnut Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 77-71 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pocahontas Redskins. One positive for the Bobcats, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Walnut Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Pocahontas, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Walnut Ridge won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Osceola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pocahontas and Trumann will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
