Softball Game Preview: Tyler Legacy Raiders vs. Rockwall Yellowjackets

Tyler Legacy is 0-10 against Rockwall since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Tyler Legacy Raiders will host the Rockwall Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Tyler Legacy and Longview, and Longview kept the tradition alive. Tyler Legacy fell just short of Longview by a score of 9-8 on Friday.

ReNaa Hicks made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Vivan Williams was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Rockwall's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against Forney, falling 19-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Yellowjackets have suffered since February 27th.

Tyler Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Rockwall, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-12.

Tyler Legacy suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Rockwall when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Tyler Legacy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
