Baseball Game Preview: Orosi Cardinals vs. Lindsay Cardinals

Orosi hasn't had much luck against Lindsay recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Orosi will face off against Lindsay at 4:00 p.m.

Things were looking good for Orosi after they put the first run on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Summit Charter Collegiate Academy by a score of 6-5.

Arturo Alvardo was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Christopher Lopez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lindsay). They never let Granite Hills get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Cardinals with their most commanding win of the season.

Nate Lopez and Bryan Martinez did most of the damage at the plate: Lopez went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Martinez went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three runs gave Lopez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Izzac Rocha, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Orosi's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12-1. As for Lindsay, their record is now 8-11-1.

Orosi might still be hurting after the 17-8 loss they got from Lindsay in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can Orosi avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
