Derek Bly and Maddox Brzuz secure win for Mercyhurst Prep

Recap: Mercyhurst Prep Lakers vs. North East Grape Pickers
After losing to the North East Grape Pickers the last time they met, the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Mercyhurst Prep managed a 52-46 win over North East on Friday.
Mercyhurst Prep was led to victory by Derek Bly and Maddox Brzuz. Bly scored seven points along with 14 rebounds, while Brzuz scored 16 points. Brzuz has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Jeremy Ganska was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Mercyhurst Prep's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for North East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.
Mercyhurst Prep will head out on the road to take on Fairview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North East, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Seneca at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
