Volleyball Recap: Asheboro's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

Asheboro came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Southern Guilford Storm. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Asheboro was: they took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-4, 25-8.

Emma Ingold had an outrageously good game as she had 15 aces and nine digs. Those 15 aces gave her a new career-high. Eva Vuncannon was another key player, getting 15 assists and 13 aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Asheboro was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 40 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in five consecutive matchups.

Asheboro's record now sits at 16-6. As for Southern Guilford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

As of now, neither Asheboro nor the Storm have any future games scheduled.
