Baseball Recap: Liberty Christian Falls Short Against Ranked Cole Valley Christian

Liberty Christian is ranked highly in their home state and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Cole Valley Christian. The Patriots fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Patriots couldn't push the score so high this time.

Liberty Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-1. As for Cole Valley Christian, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Coincidentally, Liberty Christian and Cole Valley Christian will both be playing Troy the next time they take the field. The Chargers will head out to face the Trojans at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Patriots will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
