Basketball Game Preview: East Valley Red Devils vs. Prosser Mustangs

The East Valley Red Devils are taking a road trip to challenge the Prosser Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. East Valley is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, East Valley came up short against Toppenish and fell 49-40. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Wildcats are ranked 82nd).

Meanwhile, Prosser unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 59-47 to Ellensburg. The matchup marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Prosser's defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-3. As for East Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

East Valley was taken down by Prosser 65-16 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can East Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
