Audrey Lester made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
In other batting news, Addison Vercellino was a standout: she scored a run while going 2-for-2. She is also on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Ellie McDowell was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
GRACE Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .759. Their OBP was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .529 that Neuse Christian Academy posted.
Meanwhile, Durham Academy lost 22-2 to North Raleigh Christian Academy on Tuesday.

GRACE Christian pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Durham Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
Durham Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: GRACE Christian has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Durham Academy, though, as they've been averaging 9.6 hits. Given GRACE Christian's sizable advantage in that area, the Cavaliers will need to find a way to close that gap.
