Volleyball Recap: Nya Lagrone Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Hug

McQueen won the last time they faced Hug and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lancers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hawks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lancers.

McQueen walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22, 25-9.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McQueen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nya Lagrone, who had 11 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Lagrone has posted over her last six matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Brenner, who had eight digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: McQueen was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

McQueen's record now sits at 13-10. As for Hug, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Coincidentally, McQueen and Hug will both be playing Spanish Springs the next time they take the court. The Lancers will host the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Hawks will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th.
